No matter what process is adopted, a certain degree of environmental pollution will inevitably occur in the production process. Today, the world is promoting the construction of green mines, which means that in the next few years, the global government will strengthen the supervision and management of the discharge of pollutants, such as effluent and dust.
VERTEX has developed the following treatment measures for dust, effluent, noise and other pollution:
Dust pollution and solution
For the production of open-air mines, most dust are generated in all production process , such as punching, blasting, shovelling, transportation, crushing, and dumping. Every process may produce dust pollution, only the intensity is different. It is necessary to distinguish the main causeand control these dust-producing parts in an integrated way, so as to controll dust pollution effectively .
Dust source sealing
Take effective measures to strictly seal the dust-producing parts and equipment to keep dust in a certain space. For example, the rock drilling platform of a roller rig is equipped with a dust cover at the orifice to seal all the dust-producing parts and control the dust on the spot.
Wet work
Increase the humidity of the mine rock, working surface and roadto prevent dust from flying and reduce the amount of dust in the air. This is the main measure to prevent dust during the dry season.
Dust prevention when punching
The water pump on the drill is used to send a certain amount of water into the air pipe. A mixture of wind and water is sent to the bottom of the hole along the center of the drill pipe. During the drilling process and the deslagging process, the dust is moistened, which forms powder or mud, finally discharged into the sealing cover.
Dust prevention when blasting
Water can be sprayed to the area before blasting. Water can not only wet the surface and dust of the ore rock, but also permeate into the ore body through the cracks, which has a good dust-proof effect.
Dust prevention when shovelling
(1) Wet the vehicle in advance. When loading hard rock ,use water gun; when digging soft and dusting rock soil, use sprinkler to spray.
(2) Spray water when loading. The electric shovel is equipped with a water tank and a fan to form a spray mixture. The mixture moves with the shovel, and spray directly to the dust source to achieve a good dust reduction effect.
Dust prevention when transportation
(1) Sprinkler spraying. Dust on the road is the largest source of dust pollution in mining areas, and road dust prevention is the most important measure of dust pollution control. During the dry season, pave a certain of road materials on the main transportation lines, regularly spray water on the road and ramps to ensure the dust rate meets the safety technical requirements.
(2) Pipeline pressure spraying. With longer fixed pit line in the mining area, the dust prevention work in the mining area has become more difficult. Especially in summer, it is difficult to use electric wheel sprinklers to spray dust. Through pipeline spraying in the mining area, the prevention effect is improved.
Dust prevention while crushing and screening
Set up spraying device. The humidity on the surface of the material is a key factor in reducing dust emission in the crushing process. The spray devices are installed at each feeding port of the crusher, which have powerful dust prevention effect. If only water spray is used, the feeding port may be blocked in case the water volume is too large; the prevention effect may not be achieved if the volume is too small. We recommend the use of wetting agents, which maintain certain humidity on the surface and reduce the water consumption (The volume ratio is 4:1). Mix the chemical with water in a ratio of 1:20000, use high-pressure gas to fully atomize the mixed liquid through the nozzle and spray it evenly on the material to wet the material, increase the surface humidity.
Water pollution and its treatment measures
In general, all drainage in the process of aggregate production is referred to as beneficiation wastewater, including:
(1) Mine washing wastewater: contains large amounts of fine-grained mud and small amounts of particles;
(2) Crushing system wastewater: contains ore particles, which can be recycled after precipitation;
(3) Equipment cooling water: including the cooling water from crushers and ball mill and the sealing water from the vacuum water pump. The amount is small, the main pollutants are oily substances, which can be recycled after treatment;
(4) Gravity separation and magnetic separation: mainly contains mineral particles and suspended particles, which can be recycled after clarification;
(5) Flotation wastewater: mainly comes from the overflow water produced after concentrate and tailings drainage. It contains medical and small amount of suspended particles;
(6) Flushing wastewater: the floor flushing water from each plant;
(7) Others: accident pool drainage, etc.
VERTEX’s common wastewater treatment methods include natural purification, acid-base neutralization, coagulation precipitation, chemical oxidation, constructed wetland, microbial treatment, photocatalytic oxidation, etc. We will consider different sources of wastewater and recommend appropriate wastewater treatment technology and recycle methods for customers, minimizing the impact of backwater use on production technical indicators, increasing the recycling rate of mineral processing wastewater, and achieve clean wastewater discharge.
Noise pollution and its treatment measures
The noise during the working process of the crusher is usually above 110dB(A), which far exceeds environmental standards in many countries. Therefore, VERTEX will take noise reduction measures when installing crushers. Some noise reduction measures for crushers are listed as follows:
Before noise control, we need to conduct geographical surveys. We need to fully understand our customer needs and customize noise reduction plans. When reducing noise, we need also pay attention to the heat dissipation requirements of the equipment. Whether the damping material or a noise cover have impact on the heat dissipation of the equipment. Therefore, it is necessary to add a heat dissipation device.
